Thank you for choosing to send an Art Bar Gift Card! Here are some common FAQs to make your purchasing and gifting experience as smooth as possible!
Q: Do you offer physical gift cards?
A: No, we do not. However, we do realize the value of presenting a physical gift, so we've got you covered! When you purchase the E-Gift Card, our automated system will also deliver a follow up email that includes a zipped file of a Printable PDF Gift Certificate that you can print, fill out with the gift card numeric code, and then gift! Easy as pie!
Q: When I purchase the E-gift card, should I enter my email address or the recipient's email address?
A: Enter YOUR email address. Once purchased, you will receive three emails:
1. Order confirmation email. This email is a receipt, and does not contain your gift card info.
2. "❤ Your The Art Bar™ by Lindsay Letters gift card is ready!" email, which contains the link in which to view your gift certificate code.
3. "Your Downloads are here! (xo, The Art Bar™/Lindsay Letters)" email. This email includes three sizes of printable gift certificates which you can use to give your gift card.
Q: Should I use the Gift Notes box at checkout?
A: Nope, that won't appear on your virtual gift card. Not to worry, you can customize your email or Gift Card Printable later!
Q: What if I do want to give the E-Gift Card via email?
A: Great! If you do want to send your e-gift card via email, still do not use the recipient's email address during the checkout process. (If you do, they will also receive the order confirmation email, and this could be confusing). Simply forward on the "❤ Your The Art Bar™ by Lindsay Letters gift card is ready!" email to the desired recipient (delete the "Fwd" & info), or copy and paste the Gift Card link into an email that you draft yourself.
Q: I can't find the email with the E-Gift Card/Gift Card Printable Certificate
A: These emails are sent from our automated (never-fail) system. If you don't see these emails at first glance, be sure to also check your spam/junk/updates/promotions folders! If you still can't find it, contact us with your order number and we will gladly assist! (Please note however, that in respect to privacy, we are unable to see your actual gift code in our system as our privacy system treats this card like any other credit or debit card. As such, our only solution would be to re-send the gift card email, because that is the only place your gift card code is recorded in full).
Q: Can you use discount codes to purchase gift cards?
A: No, that would be cheating.
Q: Can you use discount codes when you redeem a gift certificate?
A: Yes, that would be fun!
Q: Can the gift certificate amount apply towards the shipping cost?
Q: Where do I apply/redeem my gift card code?
A: Your gift card code will be a combination of sixteen letters and numbers, and it is not case sensitive. After you click the required box on the shopping cart page, you'll be directed to the payment portal.
After the cart page, once you check the "I understand" box, you'll be directed to a page where you add your billing and shipping information.
On a desktop, the place where you add your discount code is to the right, in the blush box.
On mobile or a tablet, the space for the Gift Card code will appear at the top of the screen (see image on left). Once you click the cart to expand, there will be a space to enter your discount code (see image on the right).
Enter the Gift Card code in the space provided, click the arrow, and you're all set! (If you're using both a Gift Card and a discount code, just enter one, click "apply," and then enter the other. Click "apply" once more and you're good to go!
